In 2018 I stepped onto a pitch in Camden with four children, a handful of footballs and a belief: that when you remove every barrier to play you unlock something far bigger than sport. Six years later, more than 6,000 young Londoners meet each week through Bloomsbury—and while they arrive for football, they stay for belonging, mentorship and a community that has their back. 

We have an ambitious goal: reach 20,000 young people every week by 2028. We know it’s achievable because our programmes work—our impact data shows remarkable improvements in wellbeing, confidence and community connection. The need is great, and scaling is our way of meeting it. At 20,000 young people we will have the operating model, brand credibility and network of partners to be ready to go national and have our programmes running in communities up and down the country.
